Dear Evan Hansen Trip

Students in the MVHS Fine Arts Academy are invited to attend the national tour performance of Tony award-winning “Dear Evan Hansen” at the Fabulous Fox Theatre in St. Louis on Thursday, October 31. This is an optional day-long trip for students and parents in Choir and/or Technical Theatre. Students must meet school requirements for field trips.
Tickets will cost $80 each (a special group rate) payable to MVHS. You will need to dress nicely and bring meal money or 2 sack meals. Seating is limited. Tickets will be available on a “first-come, first-served” basis to those who pay in full. Please submit a permission slip and $80 per ticket by Friday, September 6 (please write checks to MVHS). Mr. Knight may have room for a few chaperones on the bus, but parents are also welcome to drive.
ITINERARY - THURSDAY, OCTOBER 31
8:05 am – Depart Mt. Vernon
11:00 am – Lunch at St. Clair Square Mall in Fairview Heights, IL (bring lunch money or a sack lunch)
12:00 pm – Depart Fairview Heights, IL
12:30 pm – Arrive at Fox Theatre in St. Louis, MO (concessions & merchandise available)
1:00 pm – Show Starts (latecomers are seated at the discretion of staff...show is 2.5 hours in length w/ intermission + 30 min post-production educational conversation with cast & crew)
4:15 pm – Depart Fox Theatre
4:45 pm – Dinner at Lotawata Creek in Fairview Heights (bring dinner money)
6:45 pm – Depart Fairview Heights, Fill Gas Tanks
10:00 pm – Return to Mt. Vernon High School parking lot
Can I drive my own personal vehicle?
Students - No; Parents - Yes. If you are a chaperone who would like to drive a personal vehicle, please email me ASAP (no later than Sept. 6) at firstname.lastname@example.org. Extra permission forms may be required later for students riding with a chaperone who is not their parent or guardian.
What about Band rehearsal?
Mr. Knight and Mr. Stone are working together to accommodate students who wish to attend. Thursday's rehearsal has been rescheduled for Friday 11/1.
Are these good seats?
Yes! We have reserved seats in the lower balcony (level C). You will have a good view for a very decent price.
Are there refunds if I have a sudden conflict or cannot attend?
No student substitutions may be made after October 23 (one week prior to the trip.)
